The Next WAGS Hurdle – Our $5,046.97 Planner Bill

You helped us fund the acoustic assessment. You helped us raise the Auckland Council application fee. And now we have reached another huge milestone our resource consent application is officially lodged.

Getting here has taken months of work and thousands of dollars, but every step has moved us closer to securing the future of WAGS HQ and the dogs who depend on it.

Our professional planners prepared our application, reviewed the acoustic assessment and supporting reports, visited WAGS HQ and completed the Assessment of Environmental Effects.

Auckland Council will now check the application before it moves into assessment. Council may request further information or specialist advice and will determine whether our application can proceed non-notified or requires notification.

For a straightforward non-notified resource consent, the statutory processing timeframe is generally 20 working days. However, that clock can be paused if Council asks for further information, so the actual process can take longer. We don't yet know exactly how long our application will take, and we don't want to make promises we can't guarantee. What we can promise is that we'll keep our supporters updated as we reach each milestone.
