Vote for nature!

Nature is in crisis. Your rivers and swimming holes are being poisoned. Your oceans are dying. Thousands of our native species are heading towards extinction. And climate change is low on the political agenda. But you can help change all that today, by making a gift to help broadcast a TV advert with a strong message, asking people to take a stand and vote for nature in this election.

All too often Forest & Bird is called upon to defend nature against political and commercial interests bent on its destruction for the sake of financial gain.

Many of our rivers have been polluted by industrial farming, and could make your family sick if they swim in them. Treasured species like sea lions and albatross are being killed in fishing nets, and only a tiny fraction of our oceans are protected. Thousands of native species found nowhere else in the world are at risk of extinction, and climate change will be the final nail in the coffin for many of them.

You can change this right now. You can be a hero for nature – for the kiwi, the kakapo, Maui’s dolphin and countless species and wild places that don’t have a voice. Help us to get a vote for nature high on the agenda this election by making a donation to broadcast this TV advert.

We aim to begin broadcasting the advert over the weekend of 10th September, and continue with a schedule we hope will reach and influence up to 25% of the population, until Friday 22nd September
