Youthline Wellington has been providing support and development services to young people for almost 50 years.
Making sure all young people know where to turn for help, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Our helpline volunteers are there by phone, text, email, and webchat, ready to listen. Youthline Wellington also provides regional development and education opportunities for young people, community members, and our volunteers.
Anyone needing support can phone 0800 37 66 33, freetext 234, or email email@example.com. Youthline managed 7,834 helpline calls, 1,569 counselling emails, and 154,346 texts last year.
Youthline Wellington has over 100 volunteers, who have contributed an estimated 12,000 hours to our organisation and for the benefit of the Wellington community.

Youthline’s primary purpose is to support and develop young people. We do this through telephone, text and webchat counselling, as well as education programmes in schools and communities. We also offer in-depth training and support for our dedicated volunteers.
Youthline Wellington aims to deliver a 24-hour telephone and text counselling service primarily to youth in the Wellington region, but also to others in need. We aim to deliver a safe youth-centred service that supports and empowers people to make positive decisions in their lives, and to pass on knowledge of other services that could assist young people with their needs.
Our education programmes to schools and communities are tailored to meet their specific needs. We run workshops on mental health, cyber-bullying, internet safety, anger management, goal setting, well-being, stress and pressure, communication skills and body image.
