Youthline’s primary purpose is to support and develop young people. We do this through telephone, text and webchat counselling, as well as education programmes in schools and communities. We also offer in-depth training and support for our dedicated volunteers.
Youthline Wellington aims to deliver a 24-hour telephone and text counselling service primarily to youth in the Wellington region, but also to others in need. We aim to deliver a safe youth-centred service that supports and empowers people to make positive decisions in their lives, and to pass on knowledge of other services that could assist young people with their needs.
Our education programmes to schools and communities are tailored to meet their specific needs. We run workshops on cyber-bullying, internet safety, anger management, goal setting, well-being, stress and pressure, communication skills and body image.
