Supporting the Cancer Society is easy with a donation to Daffodil Day NZ. All proceeds go directly to the society's work.
Dunedin, Otago
~Around 25,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year, and approximately 9,500 New Zealanders pass away from cancer annually~
☆Daffodils are growing in my garden! Why daffodils?Cancer organisations around the world use the daffodil as a symbol of hope. The daffodil is the first flower of spring, bringing light after cold, dark winter days and the hope of a new beginning. It has become a symbol for people experiencing the winter of cancer diagnosis and treatment, finding hope of a new life ahead.
☆For the month of August, when the daffodils blossom and are ready for someone else to appreciated them I'll bring them into work, in return for a kind donation. There may not be enough daffodils to go round, especially with this Dunedin frost, but im hopful! I'll do some baking in the interm. Every contribution, big or small, will directly support their essential work. AIl proceeds raised will be donated to the cancer society ending 31st August 2025.
☆They are the leading non-government organization dedicated to reducing the impact of cancer in New Zealand. They are a trusted organization that provides support, information, and advocacy for those affected by cancer. The society also funds vital cancer research and health promotion initiatives. Your donation will help them continue to offer these trusted services to individuals and families across the country.
