Help new parents and their babies to find their local village

At Parents Centre Aotearoa we want every child to reach their potential. This starts with informed and connected parents that understand their options and choices and are confident to care for and nurture their baby. Parents that are connected to their communities and know where to go for help and support.

This is so important in the digital age where there is misinformation and it's hard to find trusted help and support.

So many new parents say they feel lonely in the early days at home with their baby. The normal struggles of life with a newborn can seem too much without the support of a village or community. Many of our new mums experience postnatal depression and anxiety.

Our ‘Baby and You’ postnatal programme provides a safe space for vulnerable new parents and their babies to come together to share information, ask questions, make new friends, and find their local ‘villages’.

We offer information parents can trust. But most importantly there’s a warm cuppa, and a listening ear.
