Running for Raleigh Nepal 2017
Raising funds to go on expedition with Raleigh International in Nepal from June 28 through July 31 (5 weeks).

I will be volunteering with Raleigh International in Nepal in an effort to contribute to the recovery of Nepal following their devastating earthquakes in 2015. The expedition will consist of an adventure phase where I will go on a two week trek in the areas where we will be working - Gorkha and Makwanpur. Then for the remaining three weeks we will be living with a local family in a rural area and working on Raleigh's WASH programme (water, sanitation and hygiene). This will include the rehabilitation of water systems and sanitation facilities, probably a lot of digging.

I plan to run the Motatapu marathon from Glendhu Bay to Arrowtown on March 4 in an effort to raise funds towards my expedition to Nepal. I think it is important to contribute one's time to helping others and I feel that I have an affiliation to Nepal through their experiences with earthquakes and the similar occurrences in New Zealand.

Hi All,
Thank you for your generous donations towards my fundraising efforts for my Nepal expedition. Unfortunately, I will not be partaking in the Raleigh Nepal expedition.
