Solar powered portable MRI scanner for New Zealand

Kia ora,

My back ground is in avonics engineering, but real passion lies in neuro-pharmacology and mental illness. I have studied bio chemistry and psychology, however I've spent even more countless hours sifting through medical papers and reputable sources to soak up as much information as possible on mental health and the pharmacological treatment pathways.

I have recently started a solar company which has given me the experience and confidence to build a top end off-grid solar system to run a MRI to run remotely anywhere in NZ, transported via 2 x 40foot containers.

This is funded by the community for the communtiy. The potential benefits are endless. For example early and accurate diagnosis of mental illness through brain mapping and fMRI or even early stages brain cancer.

The concept is to have top of the line diagnostic equipment ready to move quickly to all areas of NZ, including remote rural towns. It will be shifted to where it's needed the most with very well trained and compassionate medical staff.

I am offering my time and my heart for free and fully committed to seeing the project through. I will be responcible for all people and parts required, birthing the concept into a extremely valuable medical tool that will help to tackle mental illness head on and see it for what it really is, a biological condition.
