Raising awareness of, and money for, The Salvation Army Community Ministry's work while riding Kopiko Aotearoa in Feb 2020.

Nationwide

Kia ora!

Following Tour Aotearoa in 2018 (see https://www.facebook.com/pg/tony.tours.aotearoa.for.the.sallies), I'm doing the inaugural Kopiko Aotearoa cycle ride, travelling from East Cape to Cape Egmont starting on the 22th of February 2020. The route goes across the middle of the North Island, the widest part of Aotearoa, with a distance of about 1,100 kilometers.

Again, I'm using this as an opportunity to raise awareness of, and money for, The Salvation Army's work in our communities throughout Aotearoa. The aim being to raise at least $1500. The funds raised are for the Community Ministries of The Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army's Community Ministries are the front line of its social service work. They provide individuals and families with welfare assistance through food parcels, budgeting advice, life skills and parenting courses, counseling, youth development and transitional housing. It aims to help people transform their lives with long lasting holistic change for them and their families.
