Kia ora,

Ko Jay Haerewa tōku ingoa

Ko Ngāti Porou te iwi

Nō Ruatoria ahau

Nō Ōtepoti tōku kainga ināianei

I am a proud Māmā to one son and have three fur babies, Wilbur, Frankie & Loki. In my free time, I love hanging out with my boy, baking, pottering in my māra kai, watching movies and exploring the ngahere.

I have always been a bit of a creative, and last year I completed my diploma in Māori visual arts.

At mahi, I am the National Programme Manager for a digital youth employment programme called Youth Employment Success, connecting rangatahi to youth-friendly employers and industry, providing opportunities for rangatahi to build their employment skills, work experience and confidence.

Through my role at Youth Employment Success, I met the team at sẏd; they are an incredibly passionate bunch of humans making a huge difference in the lives of the young people in our region.

I wholeheartedly believe in their kaupapa, which is why I accepted the Toss the Boss challenge; FYI, I am terrified of heights! So please get behind me and help the team at sẏd to continue to make a difference in the lives of our young people.

I did it e te whānau, Thank you all for your support!  23 May 2023

I tackled my fears on Friday, May 12, leaping off Forsyth Barr Stadium in Ōtepoti to raise funds for Southern Youth Development (SYD).

The funds raised will be utilised in the delivery of programmes that uplift young people in the Ōtākou rohe. I am terrified of heights, but I also understand just how important organisations like SYD are in supporting the hauora of our rangatahi. Climbing over the railing and holding on for dear life, it was your support that gave me the courage to take the leap, I can't thank you all enough.
