New Zealand Land Search & Rescue

New Zealand Land Search & Rescue

Land Search and Rescue volunteers continue to provide an essential service to New Zealanders, helping to save lives and bring people home.

Nationwide

Land Search and Rescue is a national volunteer organisation which provides search and rescue assistance to the lost, missing and injured across New Zealand.

Our volunteers operate in suburban, urban, wilderness and rural areas including regional and forest parks, shorelines and caves. Our unpaid professionals offer their specialist search and rescue skills free to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the New Zealand Police and the Rescue Coordination Centre.

None of this would be possible without the goodwill and generosity we receive from the public. Your support helps us fund accredited training programs, ongoing operational expenses, and essential equipment purchases. for an operational volunteer so they can continue to bring people like YOU home.
