New Zealand Land Search & Rescue

New Zealand Land Search & Rescue (LandSAR) is the national volunteer organisation which provides free Land Search and Rescue services.

During the last six months of 2021, thanks to people like YOU, our volunteers brought 195 people home 🙏

Land Search & Rescue currently has 2,250 operational field team volunteers and 500 Incident Management Team/operational support volunteers. They all need to be equipped, and with YOUR help, we can help supply quality equipment for them.

Between 1st July 2020 and 30th June 2021, Land Search and Rescue volunteers were:

🔶 Involved in 318 Search and Rescue Operations

🔶 Brought home 401 people

🔶 Committed a combined 134,258 volunteer hours to Search and Rescue activities.

None of this would be possible without the goodwill and generosity we receive from the public. Your support helps us fund accredited training programmes, ongoing operational expenses and essential equipment purchases. for an operational volunteer so they can continue to bring people like YOU home.
