La Leche League New Zealand

La Leche League New Zealand

La Leche League is the world’s largest mum-to-mum breastfeeding support organisation. Our collective breastfeeding wisdom spans generations.

Nationwide

La Leche League listens informs and encourages mothers to understand their babies and what’s normal for breastfeeding. Mums get answers to breastfeeding questions nationwide from experienced breastfeeding mothers who are trained to help. We are available by phone, text, email, Facebook or meet us in person at any of our monthly group meetings. We give reassurance and boost your confidence.

Over 25,000 requests for breastfeeding help come our way each year. We are found at 47 monthly meeting venues around New Zealand and have 140 trained breastfeeding supporters available. We hold national conferences and local study days, and present at parenting and antenatal groups. La Leche League has been going strong in New Zealand since 1964, 50 years in 2014.
