Based around North Otago/South Canterbury, take in dogs from further afield, from all types of desperate situations. We are often their last hope. Many are needing extensive veterinary treatment – dental extractions, arthritis treatment, x-rays, fracture repairs, heart medication, bloods, behavioural support, special diets. We are strong advocates of spay/neuter and we offer assistance to struggling pet owners.

Self funded and rely on our own fundraising efforts and donations from the public.

Cherry eye 8 June 2026

Beth arrived at a vet clinic with severe bilaterial cherry eye. Her owners were not able to cope with the rehabilitation required and surrendered her.

Beth had surgery for 1 eye last week, the other has improved a lot and we are hoping that she will not need this one done. Thanks to her foster carers for taking her in at short notice. 💗
