Help us create period equity in Aotearoa, through smashing the stigma, education on periods and creating access to free period products.

While periods are talked about more than ever, there hasn’t been a transformative change in the way society accepts menstruation or supports and empowers people who get periods.

We’re here to change that.

At The Period Place, we encourage stigma-crushing conversations, facilitate safe and inclusive period education and distribute thousands of disposable and reusable period products around Aotearoa to those who need them.

The Period Place, was fortunate to be a part of the Positive Periods Campaign to help get free period products in schools and kura across Aotearoa, which the government is now running.

However our job is not done, The Period Place is here to support everyone else in the family and community.

The Period Place is the largest menstrual justice charity in Aotearoa, working towards period equity.

We do this through advocacy, outreach, education, promotion and our nationwide period product donation programme.

The Period Place is uniquely suited in Aotearoa to carry out our mahi under our three foundational pillars: conversation, education and access.

The Period Place Market 30 June 2022

We are so excited to announce that we are opening the doors to The Period Place Hub for a one-day Market day event!

Donations through Give a Little were what allowed us to have this Hub so we wanted to finally welcome you into this space.

We are selling reusable period underwear, reusable pads, menstrual cups, and discs (all from some of your favourite brands!) + period and menopause related books + fun merch and more

All of the profit goes directly to The Period Place, so while you are purchasing some reusable period products we are able to support other people who aren't able to afford these.
