We are fundraising to cover the cost of expanding our workshop so we can get more people riding in Wellington

Over the past 7 years, we have given out over 2500 bikes - that's 2500 less bikes in landfill and 2500 more people cycling in the Wellington region!

With the cost of living crisis, demand for bikes is now higher than ever. We've expanded our workshop and added more fix-up events so we can get more people on bikes - but we need your help!

We need to purchase more bike stands, tools, and materials to fix bikes, and more helmets, lights and locks to make sure people are riding safely.

Your donation will help to complete the bike ‘package’ with much needed extras to keep our recipients riding safely:

$10 provides a family with a pump, or puncture kit.

$20 is the cost of parts for an average bike repair (not including the volunteers’ time).

$50 provides someone with all the accessories they need to get going: a helmet, lock and lights.

$100 will cover the cost of replacement parts for a whole family's bikes.

About us

EkeRua ReBicycle is a charitable community organisation that is all about getting more people on bikes.

Every month, we receive dozens of bikes donated by generous Wellingtonians. Our volunteer mechanics fix them up and we carefully match them to people who need a bike.

So far we have repaired and re-homed over 2500 donated bikes in the Wellington region...and that number is continuing to grow!

We also create opportunities for tamariki from all backgrounds to learn and challenge themselves on bikes.
