Providing financial assistance for farmers, growers and their families so they can recover and rebuild from Cyclone Gabrielle
Nationwide
The Farmers Adverse Events Trust (FAET) was set up to provide relief and assistance to farmers, growers and their families who have been subjected to suffering or loss as a consequence of adverse natural events. They strive to provide for the general welfare of farmers, growers, farming families and rural communities who have been subjected to suffering or loss as a consequence of adverse natural events.
Cyclone Gabrielle has had devastating effects on many agriculture businesses, affecting livestock, land and feed, as well as dwellings, sheds, buildings, equipment and machinery.
The widespread and prolonged disruption from Cyclone Gabrielle, caused by road closures, power cuts, and internet outages will add more stress to farmers' and growers plates even as the weather clears. The recovery period from this cyclone is set to be costly, with a long and emotionally challenging recovery period.
FAET is committed to raising funds to help farmers and grwoers in the wake of Cyclone Gabrielle's destruction.
This page has been set up by Federated Farmers of New Zealand, a partnership organisation, on behalf of The Farmers Adverse Events Trust. All funds collected by this page will go directly to The Farmers Adverse Events Trust.

Humbling 21 March 2023
The messages that are being received are absolutely humbling. From around the country and across the world people are reaching out to send words of love, hope and good wishes to those in Cyclone ravished areas. For this we thank you these kind wishes and generous offers of support are helping to re-build our rural areas. We have supported the launch of the Farmy Army and will continue to do so.
