Has the bump been spoilt with ample gifts or are you super prepared and have everything you need? Have your guests donate to Hospice Waikato

Waikato

Has the bump been spoilt with ample gifts from the grandies already? or are you super prepared and have everything you need? Have your guests donate to Hospice Waikato or Rainbow Place for your baby shower instead.

Hospice Waikato services the entire region of the Waikato and we need to raise more than $5 million each year from our HospiceShops and generous donations gifted by people just like you.

Hospice is a special way of caring for people who have an advanced, progressive and life limiting disease that requires the services of a specialist palliative care team.

Hospice Waikato is committed to delivering the latest and most innovative approaches in pain and symptom management. Our focus is on improving a patient’s quality of life by creating a more comfortable environment for them and their loved ones whether this be in the home, at rest homes or our in-patient unit.

This year, we expect to care for over 1,500 patients and their families.

About us

Hospice Waikato provides palliative care services and therapeutic support for patients and their families. All services are provided at no charge. Hospice Waikato is home to Rainbow Place, New Zealand's only specialist children's palliative care service.

Use of funds

Our service is free of charge for those living with a terminal illness in the Waikato. Funds raised through donations, events, HospiceShop revenue and grants go towards helping to keep our services free of charge.
