Fundraising for Kaimanawa Heritage Horses Welfare Society Inc - Statue Fundraiser

$5 donated
Given by 1 generous donor in 23 days

A full-size statue celebrating the Wild Kaimanawa Horses roaming wild in the Waiouru army range.

Nationwide

We are raising funds towards the placement of a full size Kaimanawa wild horse statue on site in Waiouru.

Having the statue visible in Waiouru, will assist raising awareness for the horses, and the work that Kaimanawa Heritage Horses Welfare Society Inc does to ensure the ongoing welfare of the Kaimanawa horse on and off the range.

About us

Annually the population of wild Kaimanawa horses is reduced to 300 by aerial mustering. We search for suitable homes for these horses, rehoming as many as possible.

Use of funds

Funds will be used for the immediate landscaping and signage around the statue, as well as establishing a reserve for annual insurance and future maintenance costs.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
