Greenstone Doors is opening Korowai House in 2026.
The emotions around pregnancy and be the parent of a newborn can be overwhelming for anyone. Korowai House will provide peri-natal and post-natal respite care for local Māmā/Mums, for a few hours, days or weeks, or however long it takes.
We are currently working hard renovating and getting our 5 bedroom whare ready. Our refurbishments are underway and we need your help to make this house a home.
About us
We provide a 'safe place to talk' - all our services are free and include baby clothing and equipment, support groups, counselling.
Korowai House provides manaakitanga/respite for Mums needing somewhere to stay and receive maternal mental health support. Any of Greenstone doors services are also availble to those visiting Korowai House.
Use of funds
We need your help to meet our goal of opening Easter Weekend, and your ongoing support to cover our operating costs.
