Lotus Realm Raise Our Rent 2017
Help Lotus Realm Buddhist Charity and Music Shop to cover rent for the year, allowing us to put our resources into serving our community

Located in the historic 1880's old Battson's Plumbers building on Pollen St, Thames this building offers great potential for future uses (eg music performance & practise space, recording studio, student radio, arts and crafts studio workshop space etc), however we need help to cover our overheads while we develop partnerships to help us achieve these things for our community

I'm involved in this cause because I am the Office Ninja for Lotus realm, and have supported it for over 15 years. I believe in the development of Buddhist 'Right Livelihood' principles and Social Enterprise and feel that it is a great way to bring compassion and humanity back into business and the community.
About us
Lotus Realm is a fundraising initiative for the Sudarshanaloka Trust, a registered Buddhist Charity that administers The Sudarshanaloka Retreat Centre in the Tararu Valley near Thames, NZ. Lotus Realm provides ethical work opportunities in Thames, with a Retail Emporium Shop and Music Shop. We are a hub or meeting place for the creative energies of our community.
Use of funds
To cover Rent for the premises during 2017, allowing the income we make through our shop to be directed into fulfilling our aims helping to create creative communities, encourage participation, and using business as a practise to develop patience, friendliness, compassion, generosity and mindfulness.
