EGGS Rowing, Novie Ergathon Fun-draiser!

Epsom, Auckland

On Sunday 18 February 2024 our EGGS 'Novie' Rowers will participate in their first ever Ergathon! This is a fundraiser all Rowers participate in each season, with the Senior Rowers having done theirs in September last year. All Novies will each row the length of Lake Karapiro (our regular North Island regatta venue) on rowing machines - ‘ergs’. The distance is 11km, which may not sound far, but our normal race distance is 2km, so 11km is going to be a push for our new Rowers, but we know they can do it after a strong start to our season!

About us

The Epsom Girls Grammar Rowing Club has a strong and proud rowing history. We have the rowing and coaching talent but rowing is an expensive sport and we rely on fundraising to keep us going and evolving into the champions we aim to be.

Use of funds

We, like other sports, have increased and ongoing operating costs, and costs to maintain our equipment, and the money will be put towards both of these needs. Our fundraising target this season is $50,000.
