Little Boots has suffered terribly for the last month unable to use his front leg as it was severely injured. He suffered crippling pain.
Otago
Then after being assessed by our Vet it was agreed that Boot's leg was beyond repair & had to undergo a leg amputation. He is finally at home after his surgery & is making a slow recovery under the care of his fosterer, Antonia. This brave little kitty had to nurse his injury out in the cold alone whilst trying to forage for food & water to survive. He was finally trapped, rescued & bought into our care where Antonia nursed him & cared for him until he could undergo his surgery. He is a true battler, no more than 3 days after his surgery, he is scuttling around on his three legs, sometimes just his two back legs, but he is proving that he is more happier and more energetic after his surgery than what he was when he was in crippling pain.
Because we believe in maintaining the health and well being, care and love for the abandoned cats in the Wakatipu District and surrounding areas.
QCR helps reduce the stray cat numbers by advocating the desexing of all cats & kittens. We are a strict NO KILL charity, we have NO paid staff we rely solely on volunteers, fundraising and donations
Funds raised will go toward his vet bill, covering his consults, X-rays, vet care and his surgery. There are also follow up vet visits which to date have come to almost $1,000.00. Little Boots can now enjoy the quality of life that he deserves.
