For $20 we'll send a pair of super warm NZ wool socks to someone who really needs them in Ukraine.
Wellington
The war in Ukraine is causing untold suffering. It's winter in Ukraine which means it gets seriously cold. And with Ukrainian electricity network largely destroyed, it's even harder for people to stay warm. The good news is that you can help. Lets "Send our Socks"!!!
Help me send 10,000 pairs of thick NZ wool socks, made here in Aotearoa from New Zealand wool.
For just $20 we can manufacture and send a pair of NZ wool socks to someone who really needs them. They might be a civilian trying to stay warm in a damaged building, or a soldier on the front line.
The socks will come in a variety of sizes, from kids to adults.
Just so you know, we're being advised by www.mahiforukraine.com in terms of distribution in Ukraine, and the NZ Sock Company in Asburton are manufacturing the socks using NZ wool. www.nzsock.co.nz
I wanted to help the people of Ukraine but I didn't know how. Then I realised we have something they really need – our wool.
Production, packing, air freight and distribution of NZ wool socks to Ukraine.
Ukrainian troops with NZ socks 10 May 2023
Kia ora friends of Ukraine!
I'm slowly receiving images of the socks being delivered to the troops. Sorry it's taken a while but there's a lot of operational sensitivity around locations, units etc.
It's great to see the socks reaching the front line where they're needed.
Many thanks to everyone who donated.
Good luck to Ukraine for the upcoming spring offensive!
Slava Ukraini!
Chris.
