Support refugee kids in Hamilton to belong, grow and become through ROC Trust’s afterschool & holiday programme.
Hamilton, Waikato
Every child deserves the chance to grow, belong, and dream big. At The Refugee Orientation Centre Trust (ROC Trust), we support former refugee children in Hamilton to build confidence, friendships, and a sense of home in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Through our Holiday Integration Programme (4 school term breaks) and Afterschool Programme (running twice a week), children engage in learning support, creative arts, sports, and cultural exchange.
These programmes help children strengthen their English gain confidence, and discover their potential, all while forming meaningful connections with other young people in their new community. It’s not just about fun, it’s about building a foundation for lifelong learning, leadership, and belonging.
Our founders, themselves former refugees, built ROC Trust with the vision “For Refugees, By Refugees.” We believe that when we invest in children today, we invest in the future of Aotearoa New Zealand. Among these young people are tomorrow’s changemakers, community leaders, and innovators and with your support, we can help them thrive.
Your donation helps us cover essentials such as educational resource materials and activity costs ensuring every child has the chance to learn, play and feel proud of who they are. Together, let’s nurture tomorrow’s Kiwi leaders and make sure every child feels they truly belong.
ROC Trust has become a strong pillar of support to refugees from 9 countries for 20 years. We encourage a culture of acceptance, love, and growth, so that former refugees can become self-sufficient and independent in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Funds will cover the cost of running after school & holiday programmes in one year covering the activity running costs.
