Let's help our new neighbours feel at home!
The St Paul's Love Your New Neighbour team are on a mission to provide new refugee families in Auckland with quality pots and pans. Can you help?
We all know that nothing feels more like home than a traditional, home-cooked family meal! The meal table is where we share life with the ones we love - creating memories and sharing stories. Pots and pans are crucial for making this happen - and the Red Cross has identified the lack of quality pots and pans as a key issue for refugees arriving in Auckland.
This is where we all come in! We would love to provide the next intake of refugees into Auckland with some top-quality sets of pots and pans - and then, if possible, to other regions, and also to provide other essential homeware items.
We have negotiated a great price on two different sets to suit the needs of different household sizes - and you can be a part of getting them into homes, and making a real difference in people's lives. $100 will buy a complete set of eight pots and pans for a family of five (including a roasting pan), while $80 covers a set of five pots and pans - both at a fraction of the original retail prices! ($300 and $200 respectively).
After the 5% Givealittle fee, all of your generous giving will go towards making houses into homes for refugee families. The sets will be donated to the Red Cross for distribution to new refugee households in Auckland.
Jesus showed us how to love. We think it's especially important to love our new neighbours. Boom.
Our mission as a church community at St Paul’s is to follow the way of Christ by cultivating authentic worship, deep relationships, and God’s life in the city. We’re privileged to be the first church in Auckland and we’re seeking to extend that legacy into the future for God’s glory.
