With winter approaching we are starting to think about a few items that will come in handy to help us get through the season.
Huapai, Kumeu
At The NZ Cat Foundation we have under our care many hundreds of cats either in our indoor/outdoor enclosed 8000 square foot sanctuary, with fosters, or being cared for in managed colonies around Auckland.
Our aim is to encourage the kind and humane treatment of cats and to prevent and discourage cruelty to and harsh and thoughtless treatment of cats so as to enhance the general health of the community.
With winter approaching we are starting to think about a few items that will come in handy to help us get through the season.
- We need to replace all of our feeding plate and water bowls with stainless steel. They are currently plastic and plastic harbors bacteria and can contribute to illness in our kitties
- Snuggle Safe Heat pads and Fluffy igloos to keep the kitties warm during winter
- In order to reduce costs of our constantly increasing vet bills we need 10 hospital quality cages. This will be used for cats recovering after surgery to ensure they stay in a sterile environment
