Vet bills saving abandoned stray cats now at $20,000

At The NZ Cat Foundation we de-sex , vaccinate and microchip stray cats. If they have other health issues we take care of that too. We are constantly being asked to help . Just last week 16 cats and kittens. A few days before 5 , yesterday 40!!! Then we have to provide food to the same people to feed them if they are to stay from where they came! Does anyone offer a donation? Sadly no. For cats unable to be returned or homed we built an enormous indoor/ outdoor sanctuary and currently care for around 170 cats for their lifetime. This cannot continue with assistance from the community. The vet bills alone are currently $20,000 and that is ongoing . A sanctuary manager is also paid for, we recently had to concrete an area at a cost of $6000 and a roof desperately needs fixing . Please help us to continue the wonderful work we do caring for these abandoned cats who through no fault of their own have become stray. With the hatred being engendered in the community against cats this situation is getting worse and we desperately need HELP. Thank you.
