Fundraising for Cure Our Ovarian Cancer - NZ Purposes Fund
Otago
1 person dies of ovarian cancer every 48 hours in New Zealand – that's higher than our melanoma rates!
I lost my mum Florence aka Kamla to cancer last year, there wasn’t much we can do to help her. She was a fighter and fought till her least breath, I was glad to be part of her journey, but I must admit it was like running a marathon through quicksand. It's by far the hardest physical and mental challenge I've ever faced.
Seeing her suffer and not be able to do much. I am hoping with this little fundraising I can contribute funds and help someone in need💕
On her first anniversary 17th Feb I will be doing 50k steps to help raise funds, help me help others by donating a few $ that’s all it takes to make a difference💕
And it’s a wrap up from me!! 17 February 2022
I DID IT!
For those who have followed and supported me in recent times, I say THANK YOU ❤️
My 50K step quest began in earnest at 4:50am today.
It was not easy especially the last 2000 steps!! But the encouragement and motivation was huge.
By 1.42pm, I had well and truly smashed it.
Thank you my number one supporter Khush, my beautiful children, my extended families and friends. Without you, I would not have achieved this feat.
The step challenge may have finished today, but my job has not. I intend to continue spreading my Mum’s love and legacy
