If a patient can have access to the specialist care they need within one hour of the onset of illness or injury their chances of making a complete recovery increase by up to 80% - this is referred to as “the golden hour”.
We have been operating for over 30 years and have saved thousands of lives in our community. On average, 3 people will place their lives n the hands of the Air Rescue crew each day.
Air Rescue needs to raise $7 million each year to as the service is only 50% government funded. We rely on community support to continue providing this life-saving service. It is embedded as part of the Kiwi culture to help those in need and to support our local life-saving organisations.
Thank you so much for your support.
