Help us buy 5 beds, 5 blankets, 5 sheets & 5 pillows and pillowcases for a family in need living in Mexico!

Break Free Charitable Trust is raising $1,500 to buy 5 beds, 5 blankets, 5 fitted sheets & 5 pillows & pillow slips for a Mexican family living in the colonias of Tijuana. The family is having a basic home built for them by a Volunteer Build team from New Zealand during September. The cost of building materials for each house is covered by the building teams and other sponsors and once finished we would like to buy enough beds and linen for the family (budget $1500) as they have no furniture and what they do have needs to be thrown out. The beds and linen will be purchased new locally in Tijuana (we can't take linen etc from NZ due to airline weight and 2nd hand goods restrictions at the Mexican border). Marta is a single mum with 4 kids and they are living in a shack made of plastic and old wood. Thanks so much for helping us give a family beds to sleep in!

About us

The Trust was set up to provide relief of poverty, hunger and sickness by providing food, clothing & shelter to the poor. It also provides education and training to the public and schools about issues of world poverty and how to alleviate those issues.

Use of funds

Funds raised will be used by the Volunteer Build teams to buy 5 beds, 5 blankets, 5 fitted sheets & 5 pillows & pillow slips for a Mexican families living in the colonias of Tijuana.

Tour of the finished house 8 October 2019

Thanks so donating to the 2019 Mexico house fitout. Here is a little tour of the house. We bought a double bed, 2 single beds and a set of bunks plus linen, food, a gas cooker and gas bottle. The family cried tears of joy and were quite overcome when they saw the interior for the first time. Thank you for partnering with us.
