Help us build a 2nd school classroom for local kids in Vanuatu by sponsoring a concrete block. 2,000 blocks at $3 each.

$4,080 of $6,000 goal
Given by 25 generous donors in around 4 months

Help us build a 2nd school classroom for local kids in Vanuatu by sponsoring a concrete block. 2,000 blocks at $3 each.

Papamoa, Bay of Plenty

Two teams of New Zealander volunteers are heading to Port Vila with Volunteer Build during August 2024 to build another school classroom for the V2 Life School which continues to outgrow its facilities.

The V2 Life school provides education to local Vanuatu children, and has grown from 40 students to over 200 students over the past 3.5 years. They are desperate for additional classroom space.

The school aims to meet the need of the issues faced by the Teouma Valley community including;

• Lack of accessible local schools

• Out of area schools full and not taking enrolments

• No local secondary schools available

• Providing affordable education as parents often unable to afford school fees

We will build another 96 square metre concrete block classroom over 9 days in August 2024, which is large enough to split into 2 separate classrooms.

Building materials cost NZ$45,000, and we need to raise another $6,000.

We use 2,000 concrete blocks, and the cost of the block, mortar and block fill needed for each block is approximately NZ$3. Donors can sponsor 1 block, 10 blocks, 100 blocks - or however many blocks you want.

Thanks for helping local Vanuatu children get an education by helping to fund a safe cyclone proof classroom!

Thank you for helping us build this classroom!  22 August 2024

Our team completed the classroom in just over 4 days last week and we handed the keys over to the school this past Monday - THANK YOU so much to everyone who has helped us by sponsoring concrete blocks. We still have a few left to sponsor to help cover the final build cost, but as you can see, 100% of what you have donated has gone to build this classroom for these precious kids. We so appreciate each one of you!
