Greytown's Festival of Christmas is the happiest, most joyful little event in New Zealand and it will always be free to attend.

For a little town of just under 3,000 people, Greytown sure knows how to host an event.

And because it is small, Greytown’s Festival of Christmas delivers one of the cosiest, happiest and joyful festivals in the country, right in the middle of winter. The month is filled with magical lighting, entertainment, food, shows and fireworks, where everyone can come and share in the mid-winter Christmas spirit of togetherness.

What makes it so special is that’s completely FREE for everyone to attend. This is really important to us. We know times are tough out there, and we want to ensure everyone can be part of it, regardless of their income.
