Wairarapa’s Festival of Christmas has become one of New Zealand’s most cherished winter celebrations. Over an entire month, more than 60,000 visitors experience world-class projection lighting, night markets, live entertainment, crafting, fireworks, and delicious food - all while embracing the spirit of a mid-winter Christmas.

What makes this festival truly special is that it’s FREE for everyone to enjoy. It’s an event where people of all ages come together to connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories with friends and whānau. And for a town of just under 3,000 people, Greytown sure knows how to put on a memorable event.

We’re a small town with limited resources, and to keep the magic coming year after year we rely on the support and donations from an amazing group of businesses and organisations.
