The World Health Organisation have chosen Diabetes as their focus for World Health Day April 7 2016. Help support diabetes today!
Nationwide
The World Health Organisation (WHO) have chosen Diabetes as their focus for World Health Day 7 April 2016. Globally diabetes is being described as a pandemic with the 415 million people with diabetes in the world estimate to increase to 642 million by 2040.
In New Zealand, there are over 257,000 people with diabetes and another 1,000,000 estimated to have prediabetes. We need your help to support all New Zealanders living with diabetes but also to create critical understanding of how people can prevent or delay type 2 diabetes and manage and control both type 1 and type 2.
Please support us in our mission to be the first in the world to herald World Health Organisation Day for Diabetes and to provide the ongoing support needed to help people with diabetes to live full and active lives.
Diabetes NZ represents & supports people with diabetes. Every person in New Zealand affected by, or at risk of diabetes has access to the information & support needed to manage their health & well-being.
