Diabetes NZ Rotorua branch

We provide information and support to all people and families affected by diabetes in the Rotorua region.

Bay of Plenty

There are over 5,000 people with diabetes in Rotorua! At least 500 of these people have Type 1 diabetes, which requires intensive treatment with insulin injections and constant monitoring of blood sugar levels. In addition 1 in 4 adults in our community are thought to have Pre-Diabetes. The health system is already struggling to cope with this epidemic, which isn't going to go away any time soon.

We provide education, information and support to all people and families affected by diabetes. We run activities, family and youth events, and work to increase awareness of diabetes across the region. We also advocate for better health care services and medical supplies for our people with diabetes.
