Harness Heroes Fundraising February

Harness Heroes is a nationwide registered charity for babies and children with Hip Dysplasia.

We support families with tips, resources and clothing to help with the hip dysplasia journey.

To date we have helped over 500 families in many different ways.

In 2016 we released a Parent support and info guide that is sent out to families newly diagnosed or given to them from many of the NZ hospitals. We provide this for free and fundraise to cover printing and postage costs.

We are soon to release a 'Play book' that will be given to families of children with hip dysplasia for free, with activity and play ideas for children who are in a brace or cast and spending a lot of time in a spica table. Alongside these we will also have resource kits available for these families to borrow so they can have equipment at the explore the activities in the book. Our fundraising this year is to support the development of the 'Play book' and 'Resource Kits' as well as to cover the running costs - purchase of resources, postage etc for the next 12 months.
