Kiaora, we're 12 yr old triplets "Tokomaru, Tainui, and Aotea Taylor from Kawhia, who have put in a lot of tough training, focus and sacrifice to excel in the sport we most love to compete in. And now all this hard work has started to pay off, as we have been selected into the NZ Junior Black Gloves Team to compete at the Royal Stadium in Bangkok to fight in the IFMA World Muay Thai Championships, from the 24th of August - lst of Sept 2016.
To come from a small coastal town in the King Country region, traveling to Thailand would be an awesome experience, and a huge opportunity to advance our unique skills, and learn a whole lot of new things.
To win the gold cup for NZ for our age and weight division is our number one goal, and we believe we each have the right skills, motivation, and x factor to do just this...All we ask is for help to get us there, and we'll do everything possible to bring back the Gold...
Raising triplets as a solo dad has had its tough challenges, as I've devoted my life to helping build a strong foundation for them to one day seeing them making a positive contribution to their world, by utilizing the sport of Muay thai kickboxing, and outdoor activities such as: horse trekking, kayaking, mountain climbing, tramping n camping, learning survival skills, etc.
However their natural talent for Muay Thai has become very obvious as the whole three have been selected into the NZ Black Gloves Team to compete in the World Championship in Thailand, for their age and weight division. I totally believe they have the potential to bring back the gold cup, but need help to get them there...We've previously never received funding for the hundreds of outdoor activities we have organized for the local kids over the years, as it's never been about money, but this is a time I can't be shy to ask. These kids deserve the opportunity, and all the adventure and challenges that comes with it....Please givealittle or share this page...And be free to follow there incredible journey on our facebook page:
The purpose of our trust is to educate and train kids and rangatahi (youth), and in particular, ‘at risk’ rangatahi, in job skills, work ethics, self-esteem and self-confidence, by using the natural environment and culture, to develop respect, appreciation and pride for their hapori (community) and our natural environment, while using outdoor activities as metaphors to explore and improve attitudes, and live out their God-given potential through the challenge of adventure.
