The Wish for Fish Charitable Trust

Wish4Fish provides people with disabilities, health and wellbeing challenges and their carers the opportunity to get out on the ocean.

Bay of Plenty

We provide individuals with disabilities, health and wellbeing challenges the opportunity to get out on the water to feel the sun on their face and the wind in their hair". The benefits of these trips go beyond a day out on the water.

Our boat is a purpose built 18m alloy high displacement cat powered by twin marine diesel engines. It has total capacity for 49 passengers – 10 wheelchair users, support staff and crew. The boat is designed with wheelchair users in mind, with an onboard loading system, wheelchair lift and accessible bathroom. Breaking down barriers of accessibility and making dreams come true.

More about us

We help people with health and wellness challenges get out on the water and enjoy the freedom and pleasure of our ocean waters along with inspiring change in attitude to accessibility and inclusivity across our communities.
