It's Duckling Season!

$553 of $500 goal
Given by 19 generous donors in around 3 months

Help us support the growing number of orphaned baby birds this season.

It's duckling season and here at Wellington Bird Rehabilitation Trust we are absolutely inundated with baby birds that need care.

The season started early this year and we've currently got over fifty Mallard ducklings, six Paradise ducklings, a few Pekins, four Muscovy fledglings, an orphaned White Faced Heron, a baby Tui and a hatchling Plover in our care. Along with our other patients and long term bird residents we're struggling to find room to house all these beautiful babies.

Help us raise funds to support the growing number of baby birds in our care, expand our capacity and cover the vet bill. No matter how many we see each year, every bird matters and we take each life very seriously.

About us

We are a charity organization that rescue, rehabilitate and release all birds who are in need.

Use of funds

To expand our capacity for raising orphaned ducklings and other baby birds this spring and build more incubators.

This awesome team took in a lil orphaned duckling I had been caring for 2 weeks from 1 day old, I became its mum & it became my lil baby, I was such a sobbing wreck when it came time to hand my lil baby over but the team did everything they could to help make it that bit easier for me. They really are amazing people who deserve our support, thankyou from the bottom of my heart xx
