Latte needs Oxygen to breath 24 hours a day between his usual vet and after hours
Auckland
Latte has had a really hard start to life but he has never given up!
His back legs were deformed and backwards, we didnt know if he could ever walk or go to the toilet but he proved us wrong, he got bad conjunctivitis in one eye and we thought he would lose it and he proved us wrong again. He has had flu for couple of weeks or so and Monday started to really struggle to breath so we rushed him to the vet and he was immediately put on oxygen.
He was given an xray and discovered he has pneumonia. And cause can be hard to determine if bacterial, fungal etc so its a bit of trial and error with medicine until you find the right one that works. Since Monday (13/1) hes been on oxygen at usual vet and then transferred to after hours clinic every night and back to vet in morning.
Today he is not looking very good but he hasnt given up and neither have we.
He is costing about $100 in hospital and treatment. To date we have received just over $200 in donations.
We dont know how much longer he will need 24 hours a day oxygen treatment so total goal may vary
To save animals one at a time.
Rescue, Rehabilitate, Desex and Rehome stray cats where needed in Auckland area

Latte update 22 January 2020
Hi it's lattes foster mum here, I have been putting off this post as it's a devastating heartbreaking update about him.
On Sunday on the way to after hours emergency Lattes lungs gave out so he collapsed and died in my arms at 2:30 p.m, which was his 3 month birthday 💔💔😭😭
Sweet latte had such a hard life from the beginning, he was born extremely underweight and his other sibling did not survive. He had a few deformities likely from his mum inbreeding with a relative and so he had deformed back legs, lower jaw and his ears were also deformed at that time, he needed extra bottle feeding along with his mums milk to help gain weight. We didn't know if he could ever walk or be able to stand to even go to the toilet but I decided to just wait and see how he went for a month.. Later he got cat flu and severe conjunctivitis and we thought he was going to lose an eye, but he surprised us all as had been able to walk and go to the toilet and save his eye with perseverance with medication, so he overcame so many obstacles.
Latte was always so bright, happy and he loved his step siblings, me and everyone fell in love with him.
He struggled with flu for quite a while but he got to the point where we thought he had overcome it enough to be desexed so that he could find his forever home. A week after that he had trouble breathing so we took him to the vet and as you know the rest of the story... 💔
Latte really fought right to the end, I stayed strong the whole week thinking that he would overcome another obstacle and live a long life, but we never really knew the extent of his deformities so he could have had smaller lungs and other organs so when he got pneumonia he couldn't survive without oxygen the whole week and on Sunday he wasn't good and I could see he was starting to give up 😭😭
I would like to thank everyone for your support, your donations and your kind words while we had Latte for 3 months which was all too short 💔
Here is a video I made of his life.
