Champagne-sick since arriving at rescue

Auckland

Champagne has had flu/immune issues since he came to us weighing just 414grams when found on a road wet and alone

His health has struggled still at 1.4kgs

He has had 2 nasal flushes, xrays with a possible polyp growing in her ear. He is on antibiotics while waiting for the lab culture sensitivity results and repeat x ray in a month when bigger.

So far his costs are $740.83 but will grow. We are hoping if a polyp it can be done at vet clinic not a specialist which can cost over $2500

He's such a sweet boy so we hope we can find the issue and be treatable

Update   24 February 2025

Poor Champagne got his PCR test results back and is a calicivirus carrier.

This is a contagious virus to other cats if he sneezes near them or gets flu again.

So he will need to be on longer term medication so his body is healthy and ready to find a furrever home as an only cat.

We still need help covering his vet costs. Help please donate even if it's $5
