Perseus needs ultrasound to see extent of whether his kidneys are functioning or failing
Auckland
Poor wee Perseus has a rough start to life right from day 1 which is so unfair. We didnt know straight away but Perseus and his mum have Cerebellar Hypoplasia (neurological disorder that occurs when a cat's brain did not develop properly in the womb) so he has alot of trouble walking and is deaf :(, see video in this page.. He grew extremely slowly compared to his siblings and is only 1.3kgs at 5 months old.
Hes a happy wee guy though but then some other health issues started to occur on top of that. Perseus was drinking excessively and had gone backwards with his litter training, stopping suddenly wherever he was and urinating as well has having very very dilute urine
This week he had blood and urine tests and the findings were not what we had hoped for :)
He also has Renal azotaemia (Azotemia is an increased concentration of nonprotein nitrogenous compounds (eg urea and creatinine) in the blood) so basically kidney disease
We need to do an ultrasound to assess his kidneys and know if functioning or failing as we currently dont know what his future life prognosis will be without the scan :(
Please help our little Perseus and pray he can still live a somewhat normal life

Now that he has had a month of antibiotics he will have another set of blood tests to see if there is any improvement..
He has had mild improvement with toileting however his foster mum has resorted to nappy to help him the poor wee guy 💔💔
He is still very small for his age which is a concern
Blood tests can cost about $200 so appreciate your help.
