This project helps children who may otherwise go without pursuing an educational, creative, sporting or social opportunity.

Nationwide

The Sarah Lilli Fund was launched in November 2006 to give disadvantaged children the chance to pursue their chosen interest or enjoy a special celebration.

About us

For 60 years, we’ve been part of communities throughout the motu. Today, our mahi across social services, early learning services contributes to Barnardos’ vision of ‘an Aotearoa where every child shines bright’.

We advocate to drive change at the systems-level, so that national laws, policies, practices, and institutions meet the needs of all children and tamariki, and respect, protect and uphold their rights.

We offer early learning services to all under-fives, to create strong foundations for children’s educational and life outcomes.

We provide social support services to children and whānau in our communities facing really tough times – including those who have experienced family violence, addiction, neglect and abuse, and those struggling with mental health issues.

Every day, we’re making a positive, long-lasting difference in children's lives.

Update for 18/11/2008  18 November 2008

When Mollyfs teacher announced there was going to be a school ski trip, the rest of the class was so excited. Molly was too but she knew her Mum couldnft sign the permission slip because money was already stretched to the limit at home. The cost of the fees and the clothes to wear in the snow were just out of reach. The Sarah Lilli Fund was approached to provide Molly what she needed to join her classmates on the mountain. Molly and her Mum got to go shopping for clothes to keep her warm on the slopes. Molly had never had new clothes before and being able to choose them herself was almost as exciting as going on the trip. Mollyfs Mum was overwhelmed too and very thankful that Molly could join in and have a great time with the rest of her class.
