Help us build a double school classroom for local kids in Vanuatu by sponsoring a concrete block. 2,000 blocks at $5 each.
Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty
Since 2023, 4 teams of volunteers have travelled to Port Vila with Volunteer Build to build 5 classrooms at the V2 Life School for local kids. The school roll has grown from 40 students to over 240 students today and more classrooms are needed so students can continue their secondary education. During July 2026, we will be sending another team to build a further 2 classrooms at the school.
Education officials say Vanuatu is currently short of 400 classrooms so please help us make the difference to local Vanuatu children and families by helping us to fund the 2,000 concrete blocks, cement, and steel needed to build this double classroom.
Building materials cost a total of NZ$50,000, and we hope to raise $10,000 via this Give A Little.
We use 2,000 concrete blocks, and the cost of the block, mortar, steel and block fill needed for each block is approximately NZ$5 per block. Donors can sponsor 1 block, 10 blocks, 100 blocks - or however many blocks you want.
Thanks for helping local Vanuatu children get an education by helping to fund a safe, strong, cyclone proof classroom!
The Trust was set up to provide relief of poverty, hunger and sickness by providing food, clothing & shelter to the poor. It also provides education and training to the public and schools about issues of world poverty and how to alleviate those issues.
Funds raised will be spent on building materials to build the classroom. Any money left over will be used for future Volunteer Builds in Vanuatu.
