I have been given the opportunity to receive dance training in Europe and the USA and compete at the UDO world championships
Bay of Plenty
Hi Everyone,
My name is Jhorjah McEwen
I have been dancing from the age of 8 and I am now 15. I wish to pursue my dream which is to become a commercial dance choreographer and travel the world sharing my passion across the globe. I've taught locally in community classes and strive to expand my knowledge and ability of dance.
I now have been given the opportunity of a life time to be the first dance crew from New Zealand to compete at UDO championships over in Glasgow. Also i get the chance to be trained by some of the most elite and iconic dance choreographer in history in L.A on the way back from Glasgow. Urban Dance Company provides dancers in the youth community with opportunities and support us with our dreams by helping them come true.
I now have to try and raise enough money that will help me with flights, accommodation and training fees.
Every little bit will help.
Your generosity is very much appreciated.
Thank you.
The Trust seeks to present opportunities to empower youth by using dance as a vehicle for personal development, achievement, hauora (physical, mental, social and spiritual health and well being) work ethics, life lessons, leadership and team skills. Research confirms that youth benefit from being involved in this positive dance scene, which gives them a sense of belonging and identity.
The funds will cover the events costs and registration fees, workshop and classes, flights and accommodation.
