Your donation to YMCA North will help us to get kids active, playing and learning at the Y.

Spending time outside, being active and playing sport is what makes a Kiwi childhood so special… and so important. We know this because the Y has been part of kiwi families, helping kids grow and learn through active recreation, for more than 150 years.
Your donation to YMCA North will help us to get kids active, playing and learning at the Y.
During COVID-19 our kids have been kept inside, away from their friends and learning from screens. COVID-19 has also brought job losses and more financial strain than ever before. This means many families have been unable to return to camps, sport and recreation programmes. But you can help us fill these empty spaces in our Y Family with children who need your support.
We don’t want any Kiwi kids to miss out on living their best life due to financial hardship – but we need your help. We fund our community support programmes through our paying memberships. During the 7 week lockdown we continued to support our community while we had minimal funds coming in. So now we need you to help us support kiwi kids and let them be kids again!
Your donation will provide the following for kids in need:
• $19 for a child’s learn to swim lesson
• $30 for two gymnastics classes
• $75 gives a child a one day outdoor camp experience
• $190 will teach a child to swim with a term of lessons
• $225 sends a child on a three day camping adventure
• $795 will sponsor a children’s sports team for a term
At YMCA North we build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. We are here for our local neighbourhoods and deliver services which empower youth, improve health, and strengthen community.
Funds raised will support those families in our community who have been hardest hit by COVID-19 so their children don’t miss out on the YMCA activities they love. With your help, we’ll be able to bring joy, freedom and fun back to Kiwi kids!
