Rottweiler Nina--Bad knees but not a bad bone in her body.

$6,030 of $10,000 goal

Princess Nina was rescued from a life of abuse and misuse, having been knocked up and locked up for the first 5 years of her life.

Once upon a time, not that long ago Princess Nina was rescued from a life of abuse and misuse, having been knocked up and locked up for the first 5 years of her life.

Although Princess Nina’s story is heart breaking, it means a lot to share her wonderful spirit with you. She is the sweetest, sassiest, and most courageous girl you will ever meet. Her internal scars are healing, but sadly she has been diagnosed with bilateral knee and cruciate ligament issues and need’s financial support to get her on the road to a truly magical life.

The surgical costs will be in the $8,500.00 to $10,000.00 range depending on any complications and if both legs need doing. With the kind support and generosity of our followers, we have already been able to pay $550.00 for her anaesthesia and initial x-rays.

All funds raised will pay for her pending surgery, and any follow up procedures and medications that she will need. Our vet says she is otherwise a very healthy girl and that getting this surgery is essential in guaranteeing her a long happy, active, and healthy life.

In the short time that we have been blessed to have Princess Nina in our care we look into her soulful eyes and see that her spark and zest for life is returning. She won’t give up, she is a fighter, and we refuse to let her be defeated by this.

Princess Nina and the Rottweiler Rescue and Rehoming Team are very grateful for everyone’s love and support; no amount is too small to get us to our goal and our dear sweet girl to a life she should have had all along.

Love and puppy kisses from Princess Nina xx

#2 Update on Princess Nina  2 October 2021

If Princess Nina could talk, we imagine this is what she would say….

Hi, my name is Nina, I prefer Princess Nina, I’m 5years young. My whole life was dark until Aunty Tracey from Rottweiler Rescue & Rehoming came to get me after the lovely people at the pound saw the good in me. Sadly, these past couple of months all I’ve known is pain and sometimes I don’t play with my foster uncle & aunty as it hurts too much. It takes me all my effort and time to jump onto their bed or the couch and sometimes I have to be lifted up. A little over a month ago my foster uncle took me to the vet because he could see I had a limp and wasn’t weight bearing on my back paw. There they gave me some medicine that put me to sleep, (seriously, going to sleep like that it makes me feel icky) but I get a treat when I wake up, so that makes up for it. They took some pictures, did I mention I love having my picture taken….you have been warned!, I don’t know what they were talking about, but it made my foster uncle get all watery eyed, so I gave him a big kiss right up the side of the cheek. You are my humans and it’s the first time I’ve ever had anyone fighting for me; fighting for me to have surgery and fighting to save me from pain. I so wish I could give everyone a kiss too…ohhh did someone say ‘treat’!

Dear sweet Princess Nina, she is such a funny girl – check out her typical sleeping pose and that grin; wonder what she was dreaming about!

We’re doing this for Princess Nina and will move mountains. We are so grateful having each and every one of you standing with us climbing this steep hill. A share, donation or a nice comment to keep going; it all helps. We have a long way to go but with the help of so many beautiful people we know we will get there. Thank you so much for all your generosity so far, you will never know how truly appreciative we are…THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Love and puppy kisses from #PrincessNina #RRRNZ
