Zack the Rottweiler - out of the bush but not out of the woods
Zack....missing for two weeks, lost in the bush having been spooked by thunder. He needs our help.

Remember Zack who was found after being missing for two weeks? He was lost in the bush having been spooked by thunder at his home.
He needs our help.
Found unable to move stuck in a creek at the bottom of a ravine Zack has lost over 10 kilos and is extremely weak with some organs not fully functioning. He also has pressure sores with badly infected open wounds on his legs from sitting on his legs in water for so long.
Zack is hoping to make a full recovery and he has two younger human brothers at home waiting for him.
His family are facing a substantial vet bill which is still rising - let’s help them out.
About us
For over 6yrs we have been involved in the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of over 200 Rottweilers into loving, experienced, forever homes. We support our adopters and the dogs for life.

Use of funds
The funds will be used to help pay Zack's ever mounting vet bills.
Any surplus will be split between the Waiatarua Volunteer Fire Brigade and Rottweiler Rescue.

Dear amazing Zack friends, dog community and fur baby lovers ❤
Its is with a very a heavy heart we tell you we said goodbye to the beloved Zack last week.
Sadly he was diagnosed with stage 5 arthritis in his spine and went downhill fast, unable to walk or stand at all on his last day. Zack passed away surrounded by love in his family’s arms.
We honestly cant say thank you enough to you all, as without you, our friends at Rottweiler Rescue, the Waiatarua volunteer fire brigade and the vet team at West Coast Vets the last 6 months would not have been possible.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for your support and kindness! We were blessed to have Zack happy and healthy in our lives for an extra 6 months after he went missing.
