Steam Incorporated is an Incorporated Society dedicated to the restoration to full working order of ex-New Zealand Government Railways locomotives and rolling stock for operation on the Kiwi Rail owned railway lines of New Zealand. The Society is based at the coastal town of Paekakariki, near Wellington, on the North Island of New Zealand, where its primary purpose is to rebuild and maintain heritage railway equipment to the high standard required for main-line operation.
Our current big projects are the overhaul's of Ka945 and Da1471 and while this is happening we have to keep our current fleet of Locomotive's and Carriages mainline certified.

We are an incorporated society based at Paekakariki on the Kapiti Coast. Formed nearly fifty years ago, we are devoted to the restoration of steam and diesel locomotives plus heritage carriages that we regularly operate on the main line.
