Bay of Plenty
A distressed lady and her children arrived at our centre on the weekend needing help for her puppy, who had swallowed a fishhook. The pup required surgery as the hook had become embedded in its oesophagus. The owner could not afford to pay for vet treatment. Vets4Petz generously discounted the operation by more than $300. Kawerau SPCA will be responsible for the rest, and we are therefore inviting donations to help pay for the surgery. We commend the owner for seeking help for her animal and not leaving it to suffer.
