Joanna's Riding for a Reason... 100km in 'Hotties 100' for Unicorn Foundation NZ.
Auckland
My interest in cycling started 4 years ago when I got diagnosed with Osteoporosis. Being only in my 30s I wasn’t prepared to accept limited mobility so early in life so I decided to buy a bike, learn to ride it and see how far I could go whilst I could.
I love riding with my mates and competing. I’m thrilled to have qualified for the UCI Grand Fondo in September and will represent NZ with pride. Mostly though, I hope any success I have, can motivate other ladies to get out and ride bikes, race, ride for fun, complete or enjoy the scenery whatever takes their fancy.
There is nothing we can’t do if we set the goals and support each other.
